Software Peer2Peer – March 2020 ONLINE

March 23, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

PLEASE NOTE: This meeting has been moved ONLINE

In this Azure-themed meetup we’ll have two presentations from Arlan Nugara and Callon Campbell!

Arlan Nugara will be presenting on Protect your Web Applications and Web APIs with Azure Application Gateway and Web Application Firewall (WAF).

The right cloud architecture frees you to focus on your applications instead of your cloud infrastructure. Learn best practices on how to build your own multi-layer application protection strategy for your Azure resources using Azure’s cloud-native network and application security services. The focus of the talk will be on Azure Application Gateway (AppGW) and Web Application Firewall (WAF) to protect your web applications and APIs on Azure from common threats, exploits and volumetric attacks.

Azure AppGW is a web traffic load balancer that enables you to manage traffic to your web applications. It provides application delivery controller (ADC) as a service, offering various Layer 7 load-balancing capabilities allowing you to make routing decisions based on additional attributes of an HTTP request, such as URI path or host headers. Azure WAF filters, monitors, and blocks HTTP traffic to and from a web application.

Callon Campbell will be presenting on Exposing Services with Azure API Management.

In this session, Callon will provide an overview of Azure API Management, common use cases, and how it helps organizations to govern, publish, secure, analyze, and manage APIs for internal and external consumption whether their running in the cloud or on-prem.

Hope to see you there!

More about our speakers:
