The Women in Tech Peer 2 Peer group’s goal is to empower women in business by examining the unique gender based challenges of working in and with technology to effect progressive change within our working and community environments. Meet ups are generally for women only who work or live in Halton. Non-Silicon Halton members are welcome. Each month we’ll have a topic for debate, and an opportunity for individuals to share challenges and successes with the group in a safe, supportive setting. Meetup formats may include dinner discussion meetings, guest speaker presentations, or workshops – depending on the topic.
Topic: Scaling Up
This workshop will be an active, strategy-development session targeted at companies that are poised for growth and ready to take their businesses to the next level. The Shirlaws approach to strategy is based in research and understanding the true drivers of commercial growth. It is IP-based and unlike anything you have experienced before.
You will learn:
• The predictable patterns of revenue growth every company goes through
• Why some businesses grow quickly and others get stuck
• Where and when to invest in your company to kick start growth
• How to speed up decision-making in your business and scale your operations
• The energetic blocks that get in the way of entrepreneurs and how to deal with them
Shirlaws is an international, boutique strategy consulting firm that works exclusively with private enterprise founders, CEOs, and senior leadership teams to drive growth in revenue, equity value and build great companies. They have been helping businesses around the world grow and prosper since 1999.
The workshop will be led by Mark Fornasiero, a founding partner of Shirlaws in Canada. Mark combines his expertise as an entrepreneur, business owner, and private investor with the very powerful Shirlaws IP-based approach to strategy to uncover the hidden assets in companies that drive growth.
