Join us on the patio for a great summer social and speed-networking with Silicon Halton members. Take time to share info about you and your business – and learn about others. Past attendees have said they always get value from practicing and delivering their pitch – as well as making new business acquaintances.
How Speed Networking Works
- 3 minutes per conversation
- First person gets 1 minute to speak about themselves or their company
- Second person gets 1 minute to speak about themselves or their company
- Then 1 minute to ask questions or exchange business cards – so bring lots
- Smile and move on to the next person
What Can You Say In 1 Minute?
A lot actually if you practice a few times before the meetup. You can say:
- Hello
- Your name, your role, and your company name
- What you help your clients / people achieve (one sentence)
- How you do it (one sentence )
- Your website (where people can go for more info)
If after the introduction you feel there is value in connecting, absolutely send the other person an email / linkedin request the following day.
