The Women in Tech Peer 2 Peer group’s goal is to empower women in business by examining the unique gender based challenges of working in and with technology to effect progressive change within our working and community environments. Meet ups are generally for women only who work or live in Halton.  Non-Silicon Halton members are welcome. Each month we’ll have a topic for debate, and an opportunity for individuals to share challenges and successes with the group in a safe, supportive setting. Meetup formats may include dinner discussion meetings, guest speaker presentations, or workshops – depending on the topic.

Topic: Ditch the Pitch – This month we are welcoming Small Business Sales Coach and 2018 50 over 50 Entrepreneurs in Canada award winner Patti Pokorchak to share her story and provide some quick tips on getting the last 10% of the process right. 

This Entrepreneurial Adventurer started off as the shyest geekiest female tech pioneer proving that ANYONE can learn how to sell, make tons of money AND have fun and enjoy it too. Having made six-figures at IBM by 25, she set her sights on Europe and took off for a year which turned into 9 years working, living and traveling all over Europe.
After working at five startups, she co-founded, ran and grew a software company to more than $1.3MM in annual sales, and a team of 20 people, now in it’s 28th year.

To Patti’s surprise, someone hired this most unlikely million dollar sales whiz as her sales coach -and she now works with entrepreneurs to double and triple their revenues while having more fun too. She has deconstructed her laid-back sales style so that anyone can sell more without the hard sell.

Patti is the author of The Accidental Farmer: Adventures of a Serial Entrepreneur and if she can be a farmer, you can be anything you want to be, as long as you know how to sell and market that is.
