Learn how logistics companies are developing and adapting technology to position themselves as industry leaders and help clients develop and grow their markets. What are businesses doing to tap into the power of just-in-time fulfillment to enhance value for their own customers?
Reg Adams, Vice President, Logistic Distribution Inc.
Logistic Distribution Inc. has made significant investments in information technology over the last few years. This allows LDI to give clients the information they need, when they need it. In addition to their electronic data interchange (EDI) capabilities they offer clients a logistic’s warehouse management service. Their online tools let clients check their inventory status and gives them an accurate picture of trends and histories on all types of orders. All of which reduces costs, improves operations and the experience of the consumer.
Located in Milton, Logistic Distribution Inc. provides third-party logistics (3PL) for companies across Canada. Founded in 1991, LDI’s focus on learning the business requirements of their clients and their related suppliers and clients has allowed them to become “Canada’s Connection”. This in turn helps clients develop and grow their national market share through just-in-time fulfillment, distribution, and logistics.
Every month the Innovation Centre hosts informal, and free, presentation on a topic of interest to the residents, members and friends of the Centre and the Milton business community. It is being held at the same time as the monthly Silicon Halton Day where Silicon Halton members come to cowork as our guests for the day. It’s an open-drop in session, and all Milton entrepreneurs are welcome to attend. You bring your lunch, we’ll bring dessert.
