May 13, 2014 | Burlington Hive, Burlington
On July 1, 2014 the Canada Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) comes in to effect. CASL applies to all Commercial Electronic Messages (CEMs) being sent by you and your organization. It is the strictest anti-spam legislation with hefty fines being levied both to individual and corporate offenders in the amounts of $1M and $10M respectively.
The legislation will impact how and who you send CEMs to customers, prospects and partners. It will require you and your company to manage your communications practices differently when communicating on mass and individually. The legislation verbage that outlines the dos and don'ts can be confusing and ambiguous! At this meetup we will have three subject matter experts providing their interpretations and advice on how to ensure you comply with CASL and benefit from this new legislation.
There will be a 30 minute keynote presentation followed by a panel session. The goal is to provide you with a good understanding of the law, what you'll need to do in order to comply and how.
