Did you know that there is a ton of money available in Canada for seed and early stage investment? Probably more than you can imagine or fathom. The problem is that there is a distinct disconnect in Canada between investors and startups; the investors are ready to write cheques and the startups are ready to receive funding; but it isn't happening often and both groups are scratching their heads.
Join us in an engaging panel discussion with some of the best and brightest minds in the startup scene to discuss where startups are missing the boat and what to do about it. Find out what is happening with our U.S. neighbours and why their startup eco-system is thriving with a much greater percentage of companies getting funded versus what is happening here in Canada. Hear opinions from all sides of the spectrum on what the challenges are and how to build a company that is more likely to get funding versus a never ending money pit that results in the collapse of a great idea.
